International Jazz Festival Alliance Foundation

Connecting jazznetworks worldwide

The International Jazz Festival Alliance Foundation has initiated a program to connect jazznetworks worldwide for mutual benefits. Jazz is universal and timeless and you will find appreciators all over the world. The IJFAF wants to connect jazzfestivals, clubs, organizations, musicians, sponsors, governments and NGO's. The central aim is to use jazzfestivals as a non-profit tool to face new global challenges, city marketing, art appreciation, talent development, music development, cultural appreciation and tourism . The IJFAF has the following objectives.

  • Connect jazzfestivals worldwide for knowledge sharing and joint promotion
  • Providing an international stage and create perspective for 'exceptional talents' worldwide
  • Providing tools for city marketing and value creation for local governments and regions
  • Connecting local sponsors to a hands on visibility tool and network worldwide through jazz
  • Contribute to global challenges on water- waste- traffic- and heritage management by setting up small international conventions
  • Redefining jazzfestivals as tourist destinations on an (inter)national level
  • Settings up jazztravels worldwide in cooperation with local partners
  • Creating joint promotion on a reciprocity level
  • Contribute to bring the world of jazz closer together
  • Use jazzexpeditions as a unique tool for jazznetworks to develop on a global level

Any organisation who thinks it can contribute to the goals of the IJFAF is welcome to join. Please visit our next annual conference and showcase meeting in Amesfoort on the 11th of May during the JazzNL 'Gateway to European Jazz' confernce.
